HowToSwiss is built with privacy as a default, not a feature. This page explains what we do and don't store about you.

No personal data stored on our servers

We do not store personal data about visitors on our servers. We do not require you to create an account to use the site, the checklists, or the tools.

Your checklist progress stays in your browser

When you tick off items on a checklist, your progress is saved exclusively in your browser's local storage. Nothing is sent to our servers, and we cannot see or recover this data. Clearing your browser data will reset your progress.

Email newsletter (opt-in)

The newsletter is strictly opt-in. We only store the email address (and optional first name) that you submit through the signup form. The newsletter is delivered through a third-party email provider that processes your email address solely to deliver our emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.

Cookies and analytics

We use a minimal set of cookies required to remember your canton selection and theme preferences. We do not run third-party advertising trackers. See the Cookie Policy for details.
